ISA Toronto 2013

CONFERENCE THEME NEEDED! New Deadline March 19, 2012.
We need your help! Do you have vision of what the theme should be for ISA’s 2013 Annual Conference being held in Toronto from August 3-7, 2013? Well guess what! ISA Ontario and the Host Committee, chaired by Paul Kobold, are looking for your input. So put on your creative thinking caps and come up with a conference theme (* six words or less). Toronto is such an incredible city; the possibilities are endless. Feel free to fully explain the thought process that led to your conference theme idea if you feel it will bolster your submission.

The person with the winning theme will receive a $50 gift certificate for the ISAO Bookstore. All submissions will be reviewed by the Host Committee, anonymously, so everyone has an equal chance to win. To start the creative juices flowing, visit www.isa-arbor.com/about/historicalinformation/annualConference.aspx, the ISA link to the history of ISA Conferences since 1924 in Stamford CT, USA. The use of conference themes started in 1971 in Montreal.

Submit your entries to conference2013@isaontario.com or mail to ISAO, Attention: Conference Theme Contest, 144 Front Street West, Suite 700, Toronto, ON M5J 2L7.

ISA INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE & TRADE SHOW. August 3-7, 2013, Toronto, Ontario.
Volunteer Form... ISA Ontario will be the local host Chapter for the 2013 ISA Annual Conference & Trade Show. Paul Kobold, long-time member and volunteer, has been appointed as the Host Committee Chair (HCC) for this international event. One of the major duties of the HCC is to appoint Conference Coordinators for the various sub-group committees. These individuals must be self motivated, passionate, forward thinkers who have a thorough knowledge of ISA's mission statement and the annual conference purpose statement (on which we will debrief you thoroughly!). The following is the list of sub-group committees:

1. Assistant Host Committee Chair
2. Volunteer Committee
3. Exhibit Committee
4. Decorations & Entertainment Committee
5. Field Day Committee
6. Sponsorship Committee
7. Hospitality Committee
8. Program Committee
9. Publicity Committee
10. Tree Fund Committee
11. Guest Tours Committee
12. Local ITCC Committee

Each of these sub-committees will need high energy volunteers to fulfil the mandate of the ISA Director of Events and the Conference Events Committee. If you are interested in being a member of a sub-committee or simply wish to volunteer to help out, please fill out our volunteer form or contact Sue at the ISAO office and indicate your area of interest and potential time commitment.

Our mission is to enhance and promote the care and benefit of trees for present and future generations in Ontario through education, research and awareness.
