Arborist worksites are complex and can vary dramatically from one site to the next. There are a lot of requirements placed on an arborist crew to keep them and the public safe. Using industry best practices, standards, curriculum, and legislation as a template, we will break down typical job site risks and discuss ways to control them. This one-day workshop will be split between in-class theory and practical in-the-field assessments using a combination of learning exercises and group activities.
Instructors Ken Gillies and Nick Ramirez will share decades of experience and industry involvement with the class. Sharing years of knowledge to help improve site flow and safety. There is no getting around the fact that what we do is inherently risky. We are moving large pieces of debris around tight spaces where one mistake can become very costly. Managing risk benefits every part of what we do. Please also note that, in order to ensure fairness, we are currently limiting registration to 5 participants per company for each course. Lunch will be provided and CEUs are available.
