What We Offer

Competitive wages by role:

  • Utility Arborist (444B): $35–$44/hour
  • Certified Arborist Climber: $25–$35/hour
  • Grounds Person / Apprentice Arborist: $22–$26/hour
  • Plant Health Care Technician:
    • Experienced Crew Lead: $25–$35/hour
    • Assistant / Entry-Level: $18–$25/hour

Available Roles & Responsibilities

Certified Arborist Climber

  • Perform tree pruning, removals, and general arboricultural services
  • Operate climbing, rigging, and tree care equipment safely
  • Communicate with clients to ensure job satisfaction
  • Follow OHSA regulations and company safety standards
  • Support crew members and contribute to a positive team environment

Key Qualifications:

  • ISA Certified Arborist or MTCU Ontario Qualified Arborist
  • DZ license with clean driver’s abstract
  • First Aid & CPR, Working at Heights
  • Strong knowledge of tree care practices and safety protocols
  • Utility Arborist certification considered an asset

Utility Arborist (444B)

  • Perform vegetation management and line clearance near energized utilities
  • Maintain required clearances and comply with regulatory standards
  • Identify hazards related to utility infrastructure
  • Operate bucket trucks, chainsaws, chippers, and climbing equipment
  • Complete job documentation and daily reports

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid 444B Utility Arborist Certification
  • Experience in utility vegetation management
  • Strong understanding of electrical hazards
  • Ability to work at heights and in all weather conditions
  • AZ/DZ license considered an asset

Grounds Person / Apprentice Arborist

  • Assist arborists with tree removals, pruning, and job site operations
  • Prepare, maintain, and clean up work sites
  • Drag and chip brush; operate ground equipment
  • Load/unload tools and materials
  • Follow all safety procedures and company policies

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid G-class driver’s license (DZ an asset)
  • Physically fit and able to perform manual labour
  • Willingness to learn and pursue a career in arboriculture
  • Landscaping, construction, or tree care experience an asset

Plant Health Care Technician

  • Perform fertilization and integrated pest management (IPM)
  • Diagnose plant health issues and recommend treatments
  • Mix and apply products safely using spray and injection tools
  • Communicate with clients and maintain service records
  • Assist with routing, scheduling, and job planning

Key Qualifications:

  • Background in horticulture, urban forestry, or related field
  • Ability to identify tree species and plant health conditions
  • ISA Certified Arborist, Applicator, or Landscape Exterminator licenses are assets
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
