We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Arborist to join our growing team. This role involves field-based tree assessments, inventory data collection, and preparation of professional reports for a variety of projects. The successful candidate will be comfortable working independently, possess strong communication skills, and demonstrate a high level of accuracy in both field and office work.
Responsibilities
-Conduct tree inventories and collect field data for arboricultural assessments
-Complete tree condition and hazard assessments
-Record and organize site information accurately and efficiently
-Prepare and contribute to arborist reports and technical documentation
-Coordinate and communicate with project teams as required
-Travel to various project sites
Key Qualifications / Requirements
-ISA Certified Arborist
-TRAQ
-Valid Class G driver’s license
-Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
-Strong written communication and report-writing skills
-Experience with field data collection and technical documentation
-Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
Significant Assets / Preferred Qualifications
Experience working within rail corridors or active rail environments is considered a major asset, including experience and/or certification with:
-WHMIS
-Metrolinx – Personal Track Safety (PTS)
-Canadian National Safety Training (CN
-Ministry of Labour – Worker Health and Safety Awareness in 4 Steps
-Ministry of Labour – Supervisor Health and Safety Awareness in 5 Steps
-Experience using ArcGIS and GIS-based data collection systems (optional)
